The quality of a cycling or walking trip is largely determined by the quality of the expedition leaders...indeed, this is where we put a huge emphasis. Our expedition leaders are extremely well-traveled, extensivley trained and experienced in leading expeditions in their respective fields. They will surely go that extra mile to make your experience safe and memorable. Surely, we make no compromise with your comfort, safety, and enjoyment.
Depi Chaudhry, our Chief Cycling Expedition Leader, has explored the Himalayas for many years. An engineer and MBA by education, Depi gave up his corporate career to pursue his passion for adventure. Depi has written India Adventure Guide Book that contains detailed trek and cycling routes in the Indian Himalayas.
Depi is indubitably the best known cycling expedition leader in India and has led numerous expeditions throughout the country - from Ladakh in the trans-Himalayas to the Himalayan ranges of India, Nepal and Bhutan. From the arid Rajasthan to tropical Kerala. He has cycled it all many times and is game for one more anytime.
His love for the mountains, the sun, the smell of the soil, got Vinay Menon into mountain biking since he was a kid. Following his love for mountain biking, MX, BMX, the outdoors in general, the photography bug too bit him and he now captures his journeys in amazing pictures, some of which go to 'Entourage Sports and Entertainment'.
Vinay has a college degree in marketing and promotes mountain biking / BMX in India through ride clinics, television shows, magazine shoots, etc. He is currently the deputy editor for 'Freerider Mountain Bike Magazine (India)'.
Vinay has also been competing on the international DH race circuit for over 2 years, representing India.
Vaibhav is a passionate cyclist and has a great sense of humour too. He has been leading cycling expeditions all over India for years and all his guests love him. When he was five years old he was knocked off his fathers' motorbike by a drunk driver and, as a result, his right leg is now 75mm shorter than his left leg. He is in his 30's and is entering for the next paraplegic games as a cyclist.
Kabir Pradhan, our Chief Walking Expert, grew up in a small hill town of Kalimpong in Eastern Himalayas. From a very early age Kabir was introduced to the outdoors by family and friends - be it hiking, trekking, camping, fishing, etc.
A trained mountaineer, Kabir has spent years trekking and walking in the hills and villages of all parts of the Himalayas – including the region of Everest and the Annapurna in Nepal – and the trans-Himalayan regions of Ladakh. He has rafted in the rivers Teesta, Ganga, Indus, Zanskar and Shayok in India and Trisuli in Nepal.
